CHINA, September 17, 2025 — CNGfilm has entered into a formal strategic partnership with Jinhua Hongqing Low-Altitude Technology Co., Ltd., a licensed civil UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle) operations and services provider, to jointly develop and apply functional film materials for drone surface protection systems. The agreement marks CNGfilm's first entry into the low-altitude economy sector, extending its core TPU material technology — established across automotive Paint Protection Film and Color Wrapping Film — into a new class of high-demand, extreme-environment applications.

The collaboration covers the research, development, and field application of functional UAV surface films across three core performance categories:
Radar wave reflection enhancement
● — specialized film coatings engineered to modify surface reflectivity for operational and regulatory compliance in UAV deployment scenarios
Thermal and moisture retention
● — protective film solutions supporting temperature-sensitive payload transport, including cold-chain logistics and agricultural delivery operations
UV resistance and weathering protection
● — durable surface treatments maintaining structural and optical integrity under prolonged outdoor exposure in variable climate conditions
These application categories represent some of the most demanding performance environments in the film materials industry — conditions that directly validate and stress-test CNGfilm's core TPU formulation and coating capabilities.

Jinhua Hongqing operates across emergency rescue, logistics delivery, and government inspection UAV missions — environments where surface film failure is an operational risk, not merely a cosmetic issue. Through CNGfilm's material technology, Hongqing gains access to purpose-engineered surface treatment solutions that improve drone system reliability and functional differentiation across these deployment contexts.

For CNGfilm, the partnership extends the real-world performance validation of its 80,000 m² manufacturing facility's output into aerospace-adjacent applications. Technical findings from extreme-environment UAV film testing will feed directly back into CNGfilm's automotive film R&D pipeline — advancing material durability, functional composite performance, and long-term weathering resistance across all product lines.

The low-altitude economy — encompassing commercial UAV logistics, inspection services, and urban air mobility infrastructure — represents one of China's fastest-growing industrial sectors, with surface material requirements that existing automotive or industrial film categories do not fully address. CNGfilm and Jinhua Hongqing's joint development program positions both companies to participate in establishing the material standards and performance benchmarks for this emerging application category.
CNGfilm's transition from automotive surface protection to UAV functional film reflects a deliberate expansion of its full-domain materials application strategy — leveraging a single, vertically integrated TPU production platform across multiple end markets without compromising the manufacturing discipline that its ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 certifications require.
